The rain’s scheduled to clear up by 10am (I know this, lil birdie @ WGN told me so), then expect lots of sweat and fun times from the Mad Decent crew at the Hideout yard. DICK will be there, along with a bunch of the VEOBA fam and friends. See you there? It’s freee so RSVP here!

Didn’t get a chance to get out to L.A. this past weekend (VEOBA freq. flyers miles aren’t quite up-2-snuff), but from the looks of the pics, California sun did Mad Decent well. Read More…

HOT MILK on a warm summer day sounds so damn refreshing, don’t it? Creamy and white, lift a pail of it above your head and slowly let the opaque liquid breach the edge and begin its slow, then fast descent. Like a coach being doused by an appreciative team, you’ll give in to the whitewash. Letting the tiny bubbles of lactic invade every crevice, big and small. You’ll forfeit your parched skin. And you’re going to love it. You’re going to freakin’ love it. Get ready for some HOT MILK.

Really, HOT MILK has nothing to do with fresh squeezed utter juice. No dairy, none at all. Just a light-hearted name that brings along an excuse to get together with like-minded people for fun on a few Saturday afternoons. PARTY PARTY FUN TIME, IT’S HOT MILK! Read More…

Just North of Wall Street, New Yorkers gathered on the South Street Port for the second offering of this year’s tour de force, the Mad Decent Block Party. After an intense kickoff in Philly the week prior, it was a stretch to think NYC could top the sweat-fest that was North 12th Street. But NYC didn’t disappoint. Crowd was crazy. Music was crazy. Shit was crazy. Lineup simply popped off with the likes of the Mad Decent crew. Das Racist, Paul Devro, DJ Sega (minus the Genesis), Eli Escobar, PO PO, Maluca, and more performed to a dock topped with a diverse crowd. Saw a bunch of drunk teens, scantily clad chicks, lots of bad tattoos, and even a disoriented pop-locking granny (250,000 views already?!). Paul Devro wrote up a nice little detailed synopsis of the whole beer fueled day and collected a ton of photos. Check it here or jump down for Mad Decent’s vid recap! Read More…

“What up good times? Nah, it’s cool. Don’t get up, I’ll come to you. Yeah, it’s so true. Summer definitely can be a bummer. So really, thanks for coming to chill the next three days. Oh, you’re hungry? Lez bake some Tortino’s.”

Hollering at upcoming weekend fun; get limber, get prepped cuz in the best possible sense, it’s about to hit the fan. Chi-town’s got three days of Perry Farrell and company while Brooklyn’s getting Mad Decent on Saturday and Pool-ed on by both VEOBA and JELLY on Sunday. Read More…

The first of four Mad Decent Block Parties went down last Saturday in Philly. Loads of sweaty kids spent the afternoon pounding payment and getting nuts on North 12th Street. Pack it in, pack it in. All ages, shapes, sizes, races got down to the likes of Brendan Bringem, Dirty South Joe & Flufftonix, Brick Bandits crew, Paul Devro & DJA, Maluca, Bosco Delry, PO PO, DJ Sega, Nadastrom, Diplo, and The Deathset. A lineup both massive and ill, shit got crazy. Paul Devro pooled together some pics and manufactured a nice little recap over at Mad Decent. We’ve also pilfered a great video montage, check it below. And New York? Get ready cuz this Saturday South Street Seaport’s gonna get lit up. Don’t get fussy and just settle down, Chi-town. It’ll happen soon enough (August 21st)!
