Franki Chan Summer Vibes
One of my best friends Franki Chan has done it! He recently sent me my favorite mix of the summer thus far. It’s had me dancing in my seat for the last couple of days, so I asked him if I could feature it. Even though he told me to “GO F&%K YOURSELF…” I’m posting it anyways. Actually that didn’t happen…Check it out.

Hello again. Taking a step back from my live takes, today I’m putting up a mix from my friends in the new disco endeavor PUNCHES (Brooklyn, NY’s Finger On The Pulse twins plus their two buddies, Alan Astor and Kid Robb). Their mixtape, Somebody Has To Help You is a perfect dance throwback blend. Stacked wall to wall with beats galore, its got brass horns, vocal samples and all around positive vibes. And even though it’s still only Wednesday, you should listen to it cuz it’ll warm you up for the weekend. Jump down for the music, plus the track listing cuz PUNCHES is absolutely killing it!

Hello friends. Back when Richard hired me to help make sure this VEOBA boat floats, I took a step back from DJing out at clubs and parties. You see, besides VEEVEE I have a radical little mini-kid named Lola May, who is a complete bad-ass little girl at almost two years of age. So in between creating the VEOBAWESOMENESS with my partners and friends, throwing Carnivals and running around chasing Lola, I find time to record live mixes…live DJ sets if you will, and you definitely will.

I have also been pushing a lot of my DJ friends to do the same. Simply, if you’re good enough, record yourself practicing and give it to the world…! So here you go dudes and chicks, this is the start of my weekly mix therapy…

My first mix is called Rush Skreet.  It’s a one-take, no-edit, live Tech House mix that I did from 9-10pm on Tuesday night before I left the house to meet up with Richard.  Cognac in hand, we talked about his longing to buy a house in the middle of Canada somewhere, someday, if this whole VEOBA jazz works…

Enjoy.
