If every privileged suburban white kid’s Scarface poster has taught us anything, it’s that Miami, the decadent Floridian coastal city, is one big fiesta of music, booze, exaggerated Cuban accents, and ski slopes. (All the time, but more so during certain weekends of the year.) Like the upcoming Ultra Music Festival, or when Lebron James wins the Heat a championship. Only one of which is scheduled to happened, and since Lebron is more of a jester than a goddamn king, you best believe it’s Ultra.

And on the fringe of the festival, our black-clad friends at the New York late-night Trouble & Bass label have teamed up with Overthrow to put on an event that’ll feature two full rooms of nightmare and dark bass music called Black Magick Party. (See, the added ‘K’ means it’s extra demonic.)

Currently inked in for March 25, 26, 27, Ultra Music Fest comes just a week after SXSW, giving festival goers just enough time to wash up and shit out the week’s worth of Tex-Mex consumed during their time in Austin. And while the club-ccentric Ultra has booked such oiled-up acts like Tiesto and Deadmau5 to draw crowds, it’s the unofficial parties that play the real deal. Black Magick Party (Saturday March 26th) has enlisted Drop The lime, AC Slater, Roska, B. Rich, and many more prime examples of the heavy bass occult to throw down at a place called The Castle.
