To coincide with her upcoming tour with Chromeo (actually it’s no longer upcoming as it officially kicks off today in Québec City), MNDR aka Amanda Warner is releasing her most recent single through Green Label Sound.

Perhaps “Cut Me Out” doesn’t drip as slow and as thick with molasses-laced synths like her previous output, instead choosing to speed up the tempo with a stagger-step, yet it still tears through the fragile two plus minutes with buzz-saw keys and reckless caution.

Explaining how she approached the recording process, Warner explains: “I sang ‘like a choir singer’ to make the angelic vocal part at the top of the song. We recorded it at a slower tempo on tape, then sped up the tape to raise the pitch and make it sound like the choir was in the clouds.”
