Released just in time to snag a spot on your monster mash playlist, here’s an eerie dance hall banger coming courtesy of electro producer and deejay Bird Peterson. Blog-born and Austin-based, Peterson’s “Kingdom of the Dead” comes bearing gifts of throbbing bass, vivid kicks, and snappy claps. It’s all quite spooky, baby. The track ends with a counterfeit wind down that plays out like Lurch chilling at an 8-bit organ. Hitting Castlevania keys with the greatest of paranormal ease, before climaxing in a frenzy that’s sure to make all those slutty cops and sexy nurses weak in their bruised knees.
“Kingdom of the Dead,” posted above (duh), is coupled with the minimal and glitchy B-side “Dropsy.” Put out by Hot Dog Records, the EP’s available for purchase here.
